Sunita Kejriwal reads husband’s message during the INDIA bloc rally: ‘Arvind Kejriwal sher(lion) hai’

Sunita Kejriwal, the wife of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, attended the INDIA bloc demonstration at Ramlila Maidan on Sunday and conveyed a message from her husband, who is in the custody of the Enforcement Directorate in connection with an excise policy-related case.

“Your own Arvind Kejriwal has sent you a message from jail. Before reading this message, I’d want to ask you a question. Did our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, do the right thing by putting my husband in jail? Do you think Kejriwal Ji is a true patriot and honest person? These BJP supporters argue that since Kejriwal ji is in jail, he should resign. Should he resign? Sunita Kejriwal stated, “Your Kejriwal is a lion, they will not be able to keep him in jail for long…” during the gathering.

As prominent opposition leaders gathered at Ramlila Maidan for the ‘Loktantra Bachao’ demonstration, Sunita Kejriwal stated, “The people of Delhi have suffered injustice for the previous 75 years. If the INDIA bloc wins power, we will create Delhi a full state.

Sunita Kejriwal also stated that Mother India is in distress. This dictatorship will not work. “My husband is getting lots of blessings,” she stated during the INDIA block rally.

Sunita Kejriwal read out Arvind Kejriwal’s letter from jail, saying, “My dear fellow Indians. Accept greetings from your kid, your brother in jail. I’m not asking for your vote. In the future elections, I will not discuss winning or losing with anyone. Today, I extend an invitation to all 1.4 billion people in our country to help build a better India.”

“God has given everything to India. Yet, why are we falling behind? Why are we illiterate? I am in jail, and I have lots of time to think. I think for Mother India. Mother India is quite sad. Sunita Kejriwal read out the Delhi Chief Minister’s message, saying, “Mother India is in pain; she is crying out in agony.”

Top INDIA bloc politicians, including Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Sharad Pawar, Uddhav Thackeray, Akhilesh Yadav, and Tejashwi Yadav, attended the rally organized in the aftermath of Arvind Kejriwal’s imprisonment soon before the Lok Sabha elections.

Sunita Kejriwal also read aloud six electoral pledges made by Arvind Kejriwal, who is currently in jail. There are:

1. Nationwide 24-hour electricity.

2. The impoverished in the country will receive free electricity.

3. Each village and mohalla shall have a strong government school.

4. Each hamlet and mohalla will receive a mohalla clinic.

5. Farmers will receive MSP based on the Swaminathan Committee recommendation.

6. Full statehood for Delhi.

Senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad claimed Arvind Kejriwal seemed to have taken inspiration from INDIA bloc ally Lalu Prasad, who gave his wife the reins of power after falling under the dragnet. Prasad, who served as Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s law and justice minister for the first seven years of his tenure, was questioned about the Aam Aadmi Party chief’s unwillingness to resign nearly a week after being arrested by the Enforcement Directorate for money laundering.

“These days, Kejriwal’s wife appears to have gotten fairly active. “She can be seen in the chair that her husband once occupied as Delhi’s chief minister,” Prasad remarked.

Sunita Kejriwal, wife of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, read out a message from her husband at the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) rally at Ramlila Maidan on Sunday, in which he asked 140 crore Indians for their help in building a new India. In the letter, Mr. Kejrwal stated that Mother India was in anguish because, despite being a wonderful country with many resources and culture, India remains a backward country.

“I am in jail; I have a lot of time to ponder, and I get interrupted sleep at night. I think for Mother India. Mother India is terribly sorrowful and in anguish… Let us work together to build a new India, the India of 140 crore people’s aspirations, one in which everyone has enough food, everyone has a job, no one is unemployed, destitute, or illiterate. Mr. Kejriwal’s letter stated that every child, rich or poor, will have a good education, and every sick person, rich or poor, will receive proper treatment.

He went on to say that he was taking the liberty of giving these six pledges to India’s 140-crore people, which will be implemented within the first five years if the India alliance wins power. He apologized to the INDIA bloc partners for not having the opportunity to negotiate these guarantees with them prior to their announcement because he was in jail.

The first of the guarantees he promised is to ensure that the country gets 24×7 power supply, the second is free electricity for the poor sections of the society, the third is to build magnificent government schools in every village, the fourth is Mohalla clinics in every village and locality, along with multi-specialty government hospitals in every district, and the fifth promise is that farmers will be given proper MSP on all crops according to the Swaminathan Report. The sixth assurance is to ensure that Delhi achieves statehood.

Mr. Kejriwal went on to say, “I am in good health in jail, full of energy, and this incarceration has only boosted my courage. Your blessings are constantly with me, and God is with me. I will see you all very soon, Your Arvind.” During her speech, Ms. Kejriwal asked the audience if Mr. Kejriwal should resign as Chief Minister of Delhi because Prime Minister Narendra Modi had thrown him in jail. The audience responded with a thundering “no”.

“Your Arvind Kejriwal is a lion, and they will be unable to put him in jail for long. Many times, I believe that during the independence struggle, he was a freedom fighter who was killed while fighting for his nation. “Even in this birth, Kejriwal ji has probably been sent to fight for Mother India,” Ms. Kejriwal stated. She stated that the current “dictator rule” will not be tolerated in India. “We will fight and we will win,” she declared.
