Congress asks Mayawati-led BSP to join INDIA alliance in 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Avinash Pande, Congress’ Uttar Pradesh in-charge, remarked on Sunday that the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) bloc’s doors are open for the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) to join the united struggle against the BJP in the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls.

However, BSP’s Mayawati has proclaimed her determination to go it alone. In order to become a member of the INDIA bloc, the Congress-SP combine is currently in discussions with smaller parties in Uttar Pradesh.
“Some of them are joining unconditionally and some have expectations and therefore it is taking a little time (for finalising the seat-sharing in UP) but everything will be sorted out by the end of this month,” Pande was reported to have stated by news agency PTI.

At the end of this month, Pande expressed his confidence that everything would be resolved completely. In spite of the fact that the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) has left the INDIA group, Pande continues to have optimism over the possibility of the opposition bloc gaining support from western Uttar Pradesh.

Pande went on to describe the departure of the RLD from the INDIA bloc as “very unfortunate,” but he expressed confidence that considering the fact that the yatra will also pass through western Uttar Pradesh later this month.

“Whatever discussion we’ve had so far, definitely there will be some changes now to realign the whole thing and that is why it is taking some time but very soon we will come out jointly with the list of candidates,” according to him.
As another point of interest, he said that Sonia Gandhi’s choice to abstain from running for the Lok Sabha elections has not altered her position as a central figure in the party. He stated that seat-sharing negotiations with the Samajwadi Party (SP), which is led by Akhilesh Yadav, a former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, are currently taking place.Lok Sabha elections 2024: Congress invites Mayawati-led BSP to join INDIA bloc, says... - BusinessToday

“When you enter into a coalition, you are required to negotiate and rationalize who will be the best candidate who will give the BJP a proper fight. We must do this before we can move forward.” As a result, we are conducting an analysis of that, and I am really optimistic that the formula for seat-sharing will be finalized in a very short amount of time,” he stated.

An other statement made by Pande was that Congress workers and leaders have expressed their desire for a member of the Gandhi family to run for office in Amethi and Raebareli. He went on to say that partners from the INDIA bloc have indicated that they are willing to participate in the yatra in Uttar Pradesh at a variety of events.
Regarding Yadav’s prior statement that the SP will hand over 11 seats to the Congress, Avinash Pande issued the following statement: “As of yet, no numbers have been finalized.” Congress is optimistic that it would be able to confidently offer a good battle and win on certain seats, and we are backing SP and Akhilesh ji with all of our hearts. To clarify, there are only a few misunderstandings that will be resolved.
