On August 24, Nagarjuna-owned N-Convention centre was demolished in Hyderabad by the HYDRAA. Two notes were released by the actor, acknowledging it. Recently, actor Nagarjuna-owned N-Convention centre was raised by the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection agency.

Following this, on August 24, he moved the High Court and secured a stay on the demolition that evening, terming it ‘unlawful’. He has since posted a second statement to X, formerly Twitter, urging people not to believe ‘exaggerated’ rumors.

News about celebrities often exaggerated:

Ever since news of the demolition came, there was talk that the N-Convention centre encroached on a nearby lake, and that’s the reason why the HYDERABAD  ordered the demolition.

Nagarjuna wrote on X, “News about celebrities, can often be exaggerated and speculated for effect. I would like to reiterate that the land on which N-convention has been built is a Patta Documented land. Not even one cent of the land beyond that has been encroached upon.”

He also stated that the court had earlier made it clear that his convention centre had not encroached into the lake.

“The Special court of AP Land Grabbing (prohibition) Act has given a judgement passing an order Sr.3943/2011 on 24-02- 2014 saying no encroachment has happened in Tummidikunta Lake.”

Besides, Nagarjuna also wrote about going to the High Court, stating that he will abide by the law, and said, “Now the formal argument is already presented in front of the esteemed High Court. I will abide to the law of the land and judgment.

Until then, I sincerely request you not to indulge in speculation, any sort of rumors, misrepresentation of facts and deviations.”

Over the years, the N-Convention hosted a number of high-profile weddings and events in and around Hyderabad. The N3 Enterprises, which jointly runs and owns the convention, is between Nagarjuna and Nalla Preetham.

Most of the structures in the convention were brought down before 11 am, even as Nagarjuna had approached the court seeking an interim stay order.

Nagarjuna calls the demolition ‘unlawful:

Nagarjuna termed the demolition ‘unlawful’ saying he wasn’t served notice before it was carried out. “Pained by the unlawful manner of demolition carried out in respect of N Convention, contrary to existing stay orders and Court cases.”.

“I deem it appropriate to release this statement to put on record some facts to safeguard my reputation and to indicate that we have not indulged in any acts contrary to the law,” he wrote, adding that, “No prior notice declaring intentions of demolition this morning was issued to us.

But had this Court or, at the first instance, the Appellate Court before which the matter was pending decided against me, I am the law-abiding citizen who would have carried out the demolition myself.

But, as The Hindu reports, HYDRAA issued a press release admitting: “Due to the unchecked encroachments in and around Tammidikunta Cheruvu and the connecting nalas, the area around Madhapur, HiTex are facing serious water logging issues.

N-Convention has been clearly manipulating the systems and process and continuing their commercial activity through the un authorised structures built in the FTL and buffer zones.”

The convention center of actor Nagarjuna Akkineni, N-Convention, was brought down by the Hyderabad Disaster Response, and Assets Monitoring and Protection Agency razed it down on Monday morning, August 24.

The actor termed this ‘unlawful’ and released a statement on X (formerly Twitter) and approached High Court, which ordered a stay on it.

Nagarjuna approaches court:

As per the team of Nagarjuna, the Telangana High Court has granted a stay order on the demolition of N-Convention. A statement from his team reads, “High Court ordered a stay on demolition of structures owned by Nagarjuna, N-Convention.

The actor approached the court for the stay order and was granted it. Justice T Vinod Kumar conducted the inquiry. High Court has issued an interim order to stop demolitions.”

The actor took to his handle following the rumors of demolition and reacted to the same.

“Pained by the unlawful manner of demolition carried out in respect of N Convention, contrary to existing stay orders and Court cases,” he wrote on X, sharing that he thought ‘fit’ to issue a statement to protect his ‘reputation’ and make it clear that he hasn’t violated laws.

He also added that the convention centre is on ‘patta land’ with none of it encroached on the tank near it. “In respect of the building constructed inside the private land, there is a stay order granted against any earlier illegal notice for demolition.

Today clearly, the demolition was carried out wrongfully based on misinformation”, he added.
