In a recent interview, Veda director Nikhil Advani shared his thoughts on South cinema and what is missing in Bollywood at the moment.
Director Nikhil Advani recently discussed what he believes Bollywood is missing today and his thoughts on southern cinema. In an interview with Galatta Plus, she revealed that she and Allu Arjun had considered making a film together.

‘Everyone thinks south cinema is about mythology’:
Nikhil said that while everyone thinks South Indian films are about fairy tales, they are really about creating courage in special situations.
“Everyone thinks Southern cinema is mythic, but it captures the raw emotion,” he said. Like irrigation canals…let’s make a movie about it. Now, they’re tying that up with incredible actions and incredible moments of courage.”
He also stated that when he met Arjun to discuss a film, he was told that Bollywood had ‘forgotten heroism’. He stated, “When I met Allu Arjun and we were discussing making a film, he looked at me and said,
‘You know what’s wrong with Bollywood? You have forgotten how to be heroes. Heroism, not mythology, is what is missing in Hindi films.
Corona is recalled from time to time. On one hand, southern films like RRR and KGF 2 were earning big bucks, while on the other hand, Bollywood films were starving the audience. This dialogue between the South and the North began from then on.
People started finding faults in Bollywood films and discussing the merits of South films.

Recently, Veda’s team shared a letter stating that the certificate of the film has been delayed by the CBFC ‘despite all efforts’.
They said they requested the CBFC for a post-release certificate on June 25. A few days ago, the film was finally certified U/A without any deduction.
